SNEAK PEEK!
She laughed and leaned against him. “This wasn’t quite what I had in mind for our first time.” Oh, God, did I just say that? I don’t want him to think…well, that I…shit. “I mean, not that there will be…or that you want—”

He slung his arm around her shoulder and kissed the top of her head. “Of course I want, Nina. But I know that’s not what you meant. If I have anything to say about it, there will definitely be a real first time. But we can talk about that later.” He stood and pulled her to her feet. “Why don’t you go get dressed and wake the girls? I’ll scramble some eggs and make some toast.”

Release Blitz: Dead End Road

Title: Dead End Road
Series: Vengeful Things #1
Author: Lori Whitwam
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release: July 4, 2017
Publisher: Limitless Publishing
Kindle Unlimited
A writer, a musician, an unexpected love…and a killer who wants to destroy it all.
Reclusive author Abby Delaney never dreamed she’d meet her rock-n-roll fantasy Seth Caldwell in her quaint, lakeside town…or that his love might be deadly.
Seth is weary of road trips, endless parties, and dead-end relationships, but what choice does he have? Songwriting and performing are all he knows. Then he meets Abby and finally finds a heart he can’t stand to break.
But forget small-town tranquility. An attempt is made on Seth’s life, and another mysterious death hits eerily close to home. Everyone’s a suspect, he’s taunted with ominous messages, and it’s only a matter of time until the killer finds his mark.
What if the only way to keep Abby safe is to do the one thing she can never forgive—walk away?
As the noose tightens, one thing becomes clear…
If the killer isn’t found soon, Seth and Abby will take their love to the grave.
Lori spent her early years reading books in a tree in northern West Virginia. The 1980s and 90s found her and her husband moving around the Midwest, mainly because it was easier to move than clean the apartment. After seventeen frigid years in Minnesota, she fled to coastal North Carolina in 2013. She will never leave, and if you try to make her, she will hurt you.

She has worked in public libraries, written advertising copy for wastewater treatment equipment, and managed a holistic veterinary clinic. Her current day job, conducted from her World Headquarters and Petting Zoo (her couch) is as a full-time editor for indie authors and small publishing houses.

Her dogs are a big part of her life, and she has served or held offices in Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees rescues, a humane society, a county kennel club, and her own chapter of Therapy Dogs International.

She has been a columnist and feature writer for auto racing and pet publications, and won the Dog Writers Association of America’s Maxwell Award for a series of humor essays.

Parents of a grown son, Lori and her husband were high school sweethearts, and he manages to love her in spite of herself. Some of his duties include making sure she always has fresh coffee and safe tires, trying to teach her to use coupons, and convincing the state police to spring her from house arrest in her hotel room in time for a very important concert. That last one only happened once—so far—but she still really, really appreciates it.

cheerleading can be murder cover

Summary from Goodreads:

Getting on the cheerleading squad is hard enough without a psycho on the loose…

For Harrow High freshman Dakota Densford, life should be easy. All she has to worry about is talking to cute boys and remembering her locker combination. But when cheerleading tryouts draw near, she learns the cards are stacked against her—spots on the varsity team are limited. Dakota faces her competition head-on, but when her life is threatened, that takes the competition to a whole new level.

High school is never easy, and freshman year is off to a rough start…

Between Dakota’s uniform being ripped up and masked vandals trashing another girl’s house, everyone is suspect. To complicate matters further, Dakota has a thing for Andy McGraw, but she finds him locking lips with another girl.

The harassment continues, and when Dakota finds suspicious flyers inside her best friend’s locker, she doesn’t know what to think. The principal’s unfeeling, overachiever daughter, Brittani Barlow, will do anything to secure her place on the team. But Dakota’s neighbor, on the other hand, definitely fits the profile of a sociopath.

Cheerleading has become a game of life or death.

About the Author carissa ann lynch

Besides my family, my greatest love in life is books. Reading them, writing them, holding them, smelling them…well, you get the idea. I’ve always loved to read and never considered myself a “writer” until a few years ago when I couldn’t find a book to read and decided to try writing my own story. With a background in psychology, I’ve always been a little obsessed with the darker areas of the mind and social problems so I try to channel all of that into my writing.  I’m the author of the Flocksdale Files trilogy, the Horror High series, Grayson’s Ridge, and This Is Not About Love. I reside in Floyds Knobs, Indiana with my husband, children, and massive collection of books.

“No! Andy…please!”
I was roughly shoved into the back of  a black car. The door slammed shut, the front door opened soon after and he got in. There was a click, as the car was locked. He threw the car into forward, and took off at an insane speed leaving everyone I knew and cared for behind.
I watched in terror as trees whizzed by, leaving the familiar surroundings behind as the road went from pavement to dirt and the buildings were replaced with large trees and fallen branches. I didn’t know where we were going, but I wanted to go home. The locks wouldn’t budge; the child safety lock prevented my escape the moment he had locked me in this god-forsaken car. I had lost my phone in the struggle, and I was stuck in here.
There were scratch marks and dark spots on the seat. It looked as though someone had tried to claw their way out and I couldn’t blame them. Every hair on my neck were standing on end with fear blazing through me. My throat was sore from the screaming, but all the drivers had ignored my pleas for help. They simply kept driving without another sideways glance in my direction.
“Where are you taking me?” I asked again, my voice hoarse from the screams and crying. It was answered the same way, with silence that slowly crept in and made me shudder.
“Shut up!’
“Where are we going?”
“Be a good girl and take orders. Now shut up!”
I wished more than anything to be back at home and under my bed, away from him. The road turned to gravel as we came upon a rundown house, its shudders were falling of the hinges, but what caught me was the windows were boarded up. To prevent escape, I felt a shiver travel up my spine as the car came to a slow stop.
He got out of the car and didn’t unlock the doors until he was at the door. That small click would have brought me relief at any point in the car ride other than now. I pushed against the other side of the car as he reached one long hand in and grabbed me by my ankle and roughly yank me out of the car on to the gravel. A scream ripped through my throat as the gravel cut into my skin and my head hit the side of the car.
“Get up!” he ordered. My head was spinning from everything that had happened, but when I didn’t move, he moved me.
His hand grabbed take a large chunk of my hair before he lifted me out of the car, ignoring my cries of pain. He roughly dragged me to the house, I couldn’t get my feet to walk and fell often.
The door was solid, he had to slam his body against the wooden blockade and force it open. There was a creak as it slowly opened from his blows, and he threw me inside onto the hardwood floor. There was no carpet, anywhere It would be possible to hear every step from anywhere in the home. The house was bare to the bones, the walls held no photos or phones, rooms remained empty of furniture unless it was bolted to the ground. A new wave of fear ripped through me in realization that he had done this before, he had taken precautions for it.

Before then, Sara had not thought about trying to publish her works because it seemed unlikely that anyone would take a chance on someone so young. Besides my family, my greatest love in life is books. Reading them, writing them, holding them, smelling them…well, you get the idea. I’ve always loved to read, and some of my earliest childhood memories are me, tucked away in my room, lost in a good book. I received a five dollar allowance each week, and I always — always — spent it on books. My love affair with writing started early, but it mostly involved journaling and writing silly poems. Several years ago, I didn’t have a book to read so I decided on a whim to write my own story, something I’d like to read. It turned out to be harder than I thought, but from that point on I was hooked. My first and second books were released by Sarah Book Publishing: This Is Not About Love and Grayson’s Ridge. I’m a total genre-hopper. Basically, I like to write what I like to read: a little bit of everything! I reside in Floyds Knobs, Indiana with my husband, three children, and massive collection of books. I have a degree in psychology and worked as a counselor.

– EXCERPT –

While I was working backstage later that
evening, I heard a few new guests entering the premises. One was K.L., and the
other was Ella Green. Ella Green was well known for her publicity stunts and
her YouTube videos. Although I had never seen one, I was pretty sure she was
here to interview the band. As for K.L., he was here for the same reason he was
at the diner where we had lunch: to reel me into his world. I refused, knowing that
wouldn’t stop him from trying again.

“Frances, can you take Ms. Green and Mr.
James to the green room?” one roadie asked me. I threw the towel I was
haphazardly folding to the side, and I went to guide Ella and K.L. to the green
room.

When we got there Ben was celebrating
something, and he wanted me to hear it. He showed me the invitation that had
been waiting for them when they got here. It was for the American Music Awards
in November, and when I saw that he and the band were nominated for an award, I
was just as giddy with excitement as the whole lot of them. Ben and I hugged
and jumped up and down, squealing in excitement.

After we came back to our senses I said,
“Oh, guys Ella Green and K.L are here.” The sound of Ella’s name struck a fire
in Ben. Not a good fire either.

“Is something wrong?” I asked.

Ella was suddenly screaming at Ben. I
was so confused, and so when Ella kept yelling, I yelled over her.

“Shut up! What the hell is going on?” I
asked.

Ben waved his hand, signaling that I
should leave this alone and I ignored him.

“Don’t you know?” Ella said. “I wanted
to date the wonderful Ben Morrison, but he refused. He refused! Like, who refuses to date me? I’m Ella Green for Christ’s
sake, I’m the mother—”

“It’s time to shut up, Ella. I can see
your ego loud and clear.” She gasped at my comment, more enraged that I even
spoke to her during her outburst than the fact that my brother had refused her
invitation.

“Who are you? Like, what are you even
doing here? You were folding towels when I came in, you’re a little good for
nothing—”

It was a reflex, and I mean it when I
say this—but I punched her in the nose. Usually I’m pretty good at controlling
my anger, and other times I don’t realize how angry I am and my reflexes take over.
She was wailing like a child, and holding her head back as she stumbled around as
if my punch to her nose had debilitated her ability to maintain her balance.

“Dammit, Frances! Do you know who she
is?” Ben was yelling at me now, and I didn’t know how to react. He was rushing
to get towels and ice for Ella.

After a medic checked her nose and said
it was fine, she was escorted off the premises, all the while shouting about
how I was going to pay for this. I was like a child stuck in the time out
corner when Ben came back. My arms were wrapped around myself for safety, and I
hung my head in shame.
“What are you doing, Bea? Do you want to
get us into trouble? She’s a YouTube star. She could easily post a rant about
this and make it go viral overnight!”

It was time to prepare for the show, and
I tried to leave, except Ben wouldn’t stop yelling.

“Frances, if you keep screwing things up
the way you are, I’m going to regret ever bringing you on this tour! How can I
show the world how wonderful my sister is if she keeps acting like a whiny,
spoiled brat with an uncontrollable right hook?”

I could tell Everett was about to call
him out on his behavior, but I shot him a look that told him not to.

“I’m sorry, Ben, it won’t happen again.
I’ll go back to folding towels.” I had never been so isolated and demeaned in
my life. So much for sibling love.

 – ABOUT THE AUTHOR –
My name is Alexandra Moore. I’ve been creating stories since I could talk. I’ve been putting them onto paper since I could write. Writing books is my dream and my passion, along side with rescuing African Pygmy Hedgehogs, retired race Greyhounds, French Bulldogs, and other various animals I’m probably allergic too.

I’m convinced I’m the blood of the dragon, and the Mother of Dragons.

When I’m not watching GoT, I’m watching Grey’s Anatomy (again) on Netflix, and crying over all the MerDer feels. I also spend time with my Boston Terrier Tank and my boyfriend. Both are my cuddle buddies, and I’m afraid the dog is around more often. I don’t bite (unless provoked) so feel free to tweet at me, or leave a comment on one of my InstaPics. I can’t wait until my book is in print, and to share my thoughts with the rest of the world.

Almost.
Then she was torn away from her new family, her old life, and thrown into a world of guns, knifes, criminals, and where every mistake could get her killed. She was needed for what seems like an easy in-then-out mission.
That was until she got caught.
Sara then had to form an uneasy alliance with a cartel member to escape, which reveals her family’s car crash wasn’t an accident after all.
Is her new life worth more to her than revenge?
Or will she die trying to figure out why her family was targeted?

COVERT OPERATIONS – BOOK TWO
– SYNOPSIS –
CIRA agent Jackson Reeves won’t be denied his revenge…
He’s hunted down and killed the men responsible for his family’s fatal “accident”—all except the mastermind, Ash Crest. The problem is someone beat him to it, and Jackson won’t rest until he finds out who, and why. His search is complicated, because he’s several years into an undercover operation to take down the Cardoza Cartel and can’t risk blowing his cover.
Jackson’s sister Danielle is in danger from the very organization he has to pretend to support…
Camden Cardoza intends to take over the Cartel from his father, but to do so he needs a wife, and he has his sights on Danielle. Jackson knows he has to bring down the Cardozas before they claim his sister.
CIRA sends in more agents, including the beautiful and mysterious Night Stripe, whose task is to befriend Danielle and infiltrate the Cartel. Jackson struggles to find a way to communicate without giving both of them away…and falls for her in the process.
Jackson and Night Stripe walk the thin line between their mutual attraction, conflicting missions, and the danger of discovery, as Jackson’s objectives threaten to overwhelm him, putting those he loves in danger.
Can Jackson defeat the Cartel, save his sister, find Ash Crest’s killer, and complete his revenge—without losing his heart, mind, or life in the process?

LEFT FOR DEAD – BOOK THREE
– SYNOPSIS –
Katya Petrov is supposed to be dead…
When Ash Crest can’t finish the job, Katya is targeted by her own father, Volodya Petrov. He decides to take matters into his own hands by killing Katya himself.
He never expected Night Stripe to interfere.
When Night Stripe killed Ash and shredded the files from his office, she hoped his hit list would die with him and the survivors would be able to live without fear.
She was wrong.
Renegade had been undercover with the Russian mafia. It was a dark, dangerous, and deadly mission, especially for those unfortunate enough to be in his way. Disbanding the Cardoza mafia took time. But now, with Renegade’s cover blown and other CIRA agents under protection, it’s only a matter of time before Night Stripe is exposed.
Leaving one man alive was his only mistake.
The goal is to remove Volodya from power and save Katya, but Night Stripe didn’t plan on going back to save her teammate—and being captured in the process.
She’s alone, trapped, and fighting to survive. Can Night Stripe save herself, protect Katya, and finish the mission she started so many years ago? Or will she be left for dead?

||| ABOUT THE AUTHOR |||
Sara Schoen began writing in middle school, but did not officially dedicate herself to writing until high school when encouraged by her writing partner. Before then, Sara had not thought about trying to publish her works because it seemed unlikely that anyone would take a chance on someone so young. Despite her previous thoughts, she published her first book, Amber Alert, at the age of nineteen, and began rewriting and editing a spy series that she spent years writing when she was younger. With a lot of hard work and determination, now that same series, which is close to her heart, is a bestseller.
Sara is a Biology Major with a minor in Environmental Science and a minor in Spanish at James Madison University, and spends her time writing, studying, and ghost hunting. While writing is a great hobby that turned into a passion to share with others, school is her priority.
Throughout her publishing journey, Sara has had an amazing support system from her family, friends, and significant other, who were with her every step of the way. She hopes to continue to write, and wants to inspire others to reach for their dreams no matter how far they may seem. She truly believes that dreams can come true at any age, if you put in effort and chase after what you want.
