I loved this book! I read it first and will now go back and read The Extraction List. What I loved was how the author didn’t over tell the story. She sets us down in the middle of the action and it never lets up. Cain is such a complicated, wonderful character! He’s such a nice guy with noble motivations, but he’s sooo good at killing! Everyone needs a talent, huh? I love the backdrop of the economy crashing and all the fall out from that and thought it was great that Meland didn’t overdo it–just enough to tantalize.
My only criticism is that it ended too soon. Thank goodness there’s more in the series! Nice addition to the YA dystopian shelf.
